How we support sleep and stress
Many people use acupuncture as part of a broader plan for sleep and stress. Dr. Su integrates scalp acupuncture with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices and practical lifestyle strategies for sleep routines, stress, and daily habits.
- Trouble falling asleep or staying asleep
- Waking too early or not feeling rested
- Stress, tension, and feeling on edge
- Sleep problems linked to pain or stress
Our approach
Your plan considers sleep habits, stress, pain, and daily routine together. Between visits, Dr. Su suggests simple changes you can try at home and reviews what is working with you.
When to get help right away
If you have thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Acupuncture is not a substitute for care from a licensed mental health professional.

Frequently asked questions
What happens at the first visit?
Dr. Su reviews your health history, current symptoms, and goals, then completes a hands-on assessment that includes traditional pulse and abdominal assessment. She explains a suggested care plan before acupuncture begins, so you know what to expect.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on how long you have had symptoms, your overall health, and how you respond. Dr. Su will discuss a suggested plan after your first visit and review your progress with you along the way.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very thin. Most people feel a brief pinch, tingling, warmth, or a dull ache at the needle site, and many find the session relaxing. You can tell Dr. Su at any time if something feels uncomfortable.
Does insurance cover acupuncture?
Auto insurance MedPay benefits and Workers' Compensation claims may cover acupuncture, depending on your policy or open claim. Health plan coverage varies, so please contact the clinic before your first visit and we will help you verify your benefits and prepare the billing documentation.
Do you offer care in Chinese?
Yes. Care is available in English and Chinese.
