Our Services & Conditions Treated

We provide integrative, evidence-based traditional therapies to alleviate pain, regulate internal health, reduce stress, and promote lasting wellness.

Comprehensive Pain Management

We treat a wide range of chronic and acute orthopedic disorders. Acupuncture stimulates blood circulation, reduces muscle spasms, triggers the release of endorphins (the body's natural painkillers), and suppresses chronic inflammation.

Commonly Treated Orthopedic Pain Conditions:

  • Neck and Shoulder Tension
  • Chronic Lower Back Pain
  • Sciatica & Disc Herniation
  • Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)
  • Arthritic Knee & Joint Pain
  • Repetitive Strain (Tennis Elbow)

Neurological & Mind-Body Health

We integrate advanced Scalp Acupuncture with evidence-based Mind-Body Medicine to restore neural and emotional equilibrium. By stimulating precise cerebral reflex zones, scalp acupuncture enhances blood flow, promotes neuroplasticity, and regulates autonomic system responses.

Ideal for patients seeking care for:

  • Chronic Insomnia & Sleep Disturbances (by balancing neurotransmitters and calming the mind)
  • Stress, Anxiety, Panic Attacks & Depression (re-establishing sympathetic/parasympathetic balance)
  • Stroke Rehabilitation & Neuro-recovery (addressing motor loss, numbness, and sequelae)
  • Migraines, chronic tension headaches, neuropathy, vertigo, and tremors

TMJ Dysfunction & Jaw Pain

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders cause pain, clicking, popping, and limited range of motion in the jaw. This is often linked to grinding (bruxism), stress, or muscular tension. Acupuncture is highly effective for TMJ by relaxing the masseter and temporalis muscles, reducing joint inflammation, and restoring proper jaw movement.

We combine direct local point stimulation with distal point selections to address both structural alignment and stress triggers that lead to jaw-clenching.

How TMJ Acupuncture Helps:

  • Muscle Relaxation: Immediately releases tension in tight jaw muscles.
  • Reduced Inflammation: Promotes localized blood flow to heal the joint.
  • Stress Mitigation: Lowers central nervous system stress, reducing sleep grinding.

Chronic Disease & Lifestyle Medicine

Managing chronic diseases requires identifying the underlying physiological dysfunctions rather than just masking symptoms. We use Modern Abdominal Acupuncture, which stimulates the abdomen\'s deep neural networks and vascular centers—referred to in modern science as the "gut-brain axis"—to regulate internal organ functions and resolve systemic imbalances.

As a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), Dr. Su combines TCM herbal treatments with evidence-based lifestyle medicine. By analyzing nutritional habits, physical activity, sleep hygiene, and emotional patterns, we provide a structured, scientific health management plan to help patients reverse chronic disease, stabilize metabolism, and restore organ function.

Chronic conditions supported by our integrative care:

  • Kidney Health & Metabolic Wellness Support
  • Blood Sugar & Glucose Balance Support
  • Digestive Harmony & Gut Health Support (SIBO, IBD, bloating)
  • Endocrine & Hormonal Optimization (acne, thyroid support)
  • Pediatric Development & Attention Support

Gua Sha & Cupping

Gua Sha (Scraping) is a traditional therapeutic method that uses a smooth-edged tool to gently stroke the skin. This technique improves local microcirculation, releases stubborn myofascial tension, and encourages cellular repair. It is highly effective for relieving neck and shoulder stiffness, muscle fatigue, and chronic pain.

Cupping is applied using glass cups to create a vacuum on the skin. It draws out metabolic wastes, breaks up myofascial adhesions, and triggers deep tissue repair. It is highly beneficial for athletic recovery and back muscle stiffness.

Benefits of Gua Sha & Cupping:

• Relieves severe neck, shoulder, and back tension

• Improves local microcirculation and reduces inflammation

• Releases stubborn sports-related muscle knots

• Speeds up recovery from fatigue and muscle soreness

Preventive Medicine & Wellness

Traditional Chinese Medicine is fundamentally built on the philosophy of "Treating the Disease Before It Arises". Drawing on Dr. Su\'s dual background in modern Western clinical medicine and classical TCM, we perform comprehensive evaluations that bridge both worlds, helping to intercept pathological pathways before they manifest as severe illness.

We use sophisticated pulse analysis, physical assessment, and lifestyle risk profiling to identify early systemic declines. Our preventive protocols blend custom acupuncture, tailored botanical formulations, and actionable, scientific health guidelines (covering diet, stress resilience, and sleep quality) to boost immunity, slow age-related declines, and optimize long-term health span.

Preventive Care Focus Areas:

Immunity Optimization: Strengthening defense systems to prevent seasonal and viral illnesses.

Pre-Chronic Interventions: Managing early metabolic/inflammatory shifts (pre-diabetes, mild hypertension).

Vitality & Aging Support: Protecting cognitive clarity, cellular energy, and joint mobility.

Toxic & Stress Clearance: Minimizing chronic toxic loads and fatigue syndromes.
